Money in the Bank will be WWE’s most important pay-per-view since WrestleMania. Not only will a new WWE world heavyweight champion be crowned, but fans will get a glimpse into WWE’s future with the result of the Money in the Bank briefcase match, provided Rob Van Dam doesn’t win.
The briefcase match has the ingredients to take the lead in the wide-open race for match of the year. Athletic talents like Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston are expected to deliver innovative spots in a match filled with hungry competitors.
The briefcase ladder match will be Rollins’ match to lose. Expect the newly minted heel to move forward with briefcase in tow.
The Usos have held the tag team titles since WrestleMania season, but that can change with a surging Wyatt Family. This could be the night that all three Wyatts rise to power, but even if it isn’t, expect Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to walk away with tag team gold.
The golden briefcase will be hanging in the balance during the Money in the Bank main event. And with Daniel Bryan out with injury, expect John Cena to carry WWE’s business for the time being. To do this, he’ll have to carry the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
