The United States men's national team may have fallen 1-0 to Germany in the World Cup on Thursday, but you'd be hard pressed to find any American who wasn't pleased with their current positioning moving into the round of 16.

Portugal's 2-1 win over Ghana ensured that the United States would advance to the knockout stages of the tournament, emerging from a tricky group dubbed, "The Group of Death" before the Cup began.

The Americans will face Group H winners, Belgium, in the round of 16 on Tuesday.
