Umpire Joe West Gets Drilled by a Foul Liner, Shows His Toughness by Flexing

Say what you want about Joe West, but the veteran umpire is one tough guy.

West got drilled in the chest by a liner in foul territory while working as the first-base umpire during Tuesday's Oakland A's-New York Mets game. As the attention turned to him, he flexed to let everyone know that he was strong enough to take it.

West was able to get a good laugh out of the situation and continued to umpire.
