It's time to throw away the "Messi is only good at Barcelona" narrative. 

Messi scored a brace and is now tied with Neymar with four goals to to lead for the Golden Boot. 

Messi opened the scoring with a perfect volley off a deflection, but Nigeria answer right back with a Ahmed Musa score. 

Messi and Musa traded goals to make a 2-2 tie until Marcos Rojo put the winner in the back of the net in the 50th minute. 

Both teams took the foot off the gas after that, knowing that each will advance. Argentina wins the group with 9 points and will take on the 2nd place finisher in Group E. Nigeria will play the winner of Group E.
