After a successful career at Memphis, Joey Dorsey is entering the 2008 NBA Draft.
Who should draft #3?
The Denver Nuggets.
Standing at 6-9 and weighing 265 lbs, Joey averaged 6.9 PPG, 1.9 BPG, 1.1 SPG in the 2007-08 season.
Dorsey's Highlights of the Seasons were:
10 double-doubles
22 rebounds and 4 blocks against Houston
11 points 13 rebounds 4 blocks against Georgetown
- B/R Ticket Guide
9 points 15 rebounds 2 blocks against UCLA in the Final Four
13 games with 3+ blocks
Dorsey had career highs in points per game and field goal percentage, as well averaging a career low in turnovers.
How would he help Denver?
1. He's exactly what the Nuggets thought they were getting out of Kenyon Martin when he could jump, a few knee surgeries ago. Dorsey can dunk, block shots, rebounds, and he's a energy player.
2. Joey Dorsey can be signed at a bargain. The Nuggets have problems within the salary cap and the luxury tax area and they can be addressed by selecting the senior.
3. Obviously, Denver needs a mixture of size, youth, speed, and athlectism to get any farther than the first round. They don't have those qualities in Nene, Eduardo Najera, Linas Kleiza, or the rest of their bench. Joey would make a nice addition to the Nuggets squad.

I agree, he would be a good addition, he brings sort of the same defensive grit as Camby, who is getting older and I cant see him still being there in 5 years or so, which is when Dorsey should be bloomed and reddy to start.

But is he thuggish enough to fit in with the rest of the Nuggets?

They could dominate the arc with Iverson and Anthony and the paint as well with Dorsey.
