Before they can address the future of the Big Three, the Miami Heat must first tackle the 2014 NBA draft.

Whatever the Heat decide to do, keep it locked here on NBA draft night for timely updates and analysis of every Heat selection.

The 2014 NBA draft begins Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Trade - 10:08pm (ET)

Miami Heat Receive: Shabazz Napier
Charlotte Hornets Receive: Picks No. 26 (P.J. Hairston), 55 and future second-rounder

The Heat catered to LeBron James' (unspoken?) request by trading up in the draft to select Napier of the NCAA Champion UConn Huskies.

It's no secret that Miami needed a point guard, and with Napier they got a proven winner and leader.

Napier led the Huskies to a championship as a senior, averaging 18.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists.

While size is an issue (6'1", 180lbs), Napier should bring a lot of heart and passion to the Heat. They needed a prospect in the draft who was ready to play immediately, and Napier fits the bill.

A great move by Miami to not only improve their team, but also keep James happy as he enters unrestricted free agency this summer.
