Chelsea has signed Middlesbrough goalkeeper Ross Turnbull on a free transfer.
The stopper—who rose through the ranks at the recently relegated side—moves to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer and has signed a four-year contract.
He made his debut for Gareth Southgate's side in 2006 against Bolton and went on to make 29 appearances in total for the club.
Turnbull has also spent time out on loan at various lower division sides, including Barnsley, Cardiff and Crewe.
The 24-year-old will vie with Petr Cech and Henrique Hilario, who today signed a new two-year contract, for the number one spot at Chelsea.
