Cameroon has no chance to reach the round of 16, but it can play spoiler for host Brazil.

However, only the bravest of bettors will be laying down much cash against a Brazil team seemingly still in search of its top form.

The African nation has lost its two group matches and is a 20-1 underdog Monday, according to sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark.

Brazil can take care of business and secure top spot in Group A with a win. If it draws (a 9-1 long-shot bet), there is a chance it will come in second in the group and face Holland in the round of 16.

Brazil was a 1-8 favorite earlier Monday, with Cameroon ranging between 20-1 and 25-1.

Brazil played to a 0-0 draw in its last match, with the main reason being the sensational play of Mexican keeper Guillermo Ochoa. Neymar was thwarted in that match on several point-blank shots, and he and the Brazilian attack will be a major handful for a Cameroon defense that gave up four goals to Croatia in its last group match.

One thing Cameroon has going for it is a carefree disposition. It has nothing to lose, and all the pressure is on Brazil to pick up a point. However, that attitude can cut both ways if the approach becomes careless, and Brazil has the talent to slice Cameroon to bits with counterattacks.

Oscar and the Brazil midfield are solid, which is a concern for Cameroon, as it did not play a great match in that area against Croatia.

Brazil’s offense has conceded one goal in two group matches, while Cameroon has not scored a single goal. However, with Brazil pushing forward, the African nation may get several scoring chances on the counterattack.

Dani Alves has been great in anchoring the Brazil defense, but he and the back line have been caught forward a few times, especially facing Mexico. Cameroon must take advantage when given the opportunity.

It did not help that there was fighting within the Cameroon squad in the bad Croatia loss, and the team needs to band together if it is going to pull off the shocker facing Brazil.

Brazil can dominate Cameroon all over the pitch, but it can’t take Cameroon for granted. We see Brazil hitting its stride in this high-scoring World Cup with an easy victory.

Brazil vs. Cameroon prediction: 3-0 Brazil
