After pure elation from Clint Dempsey's go-ahead goal in the 81st minute, United States fans were likely devastated after this one.

With one final chance in extra time for Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo had a beautiful cross to Silvestre Varela, whose header gave his team a 2-2 draw. The goal keeps Portugal alive in Group G of the 2014 World Cup.
