Finally, a Hall of Fame for NASCAR. It has been a long time coming but it will be well worth the wait. Now the biggest question, who gets in first. I don’t think there is any one person you could put in alone on the first ballot. NASCAR has said that they will choose from 25 people who have been influential to the sport. They have not released how many will go in with the first vote. I propose 5 individuals to be inducted on the first ballot of the NASCAR Hall of Fame. So, without further adieu here is my proposed list of the first 5 people to get into the NASCAR Hall of Fame:

Bill France Sr.

Already a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, the Automotive Hall of Fame, the National Motor Sports Press Association (NMPA) Hall of Fame at Darlington, South Carolina, and the Daytona Beach Stock Car Racing Hall of Fame, the founder of NASCAR gets top billing on my list. Without "Big" Bill France NASCAR would not be

Richard Petty

The man with the Million Dollar smile. King Richard Petty. 200 wins, 7-time Cup Champion, 7-time Daytona 500 winner, 127 poles, and 700 top ten finishes. "The King" of NASCAR will be the number one driver inducted to the new Hall of Fame.

Dale Earnhardt

Dale Earnhardt was arguably one of the most famous people in the history of the sport. With 76 victories, one Daytona 500 victory and seven Cup titles to his name he was also one of the most talented drivers. Dale changed the way NASCAR was marketed. Forever known as "Ironhead," "The Man in Black," or most famously "The Intimidator" he died doing what he loved and became a legend forever.

Bobbie Allison

Bobbie Allison is 3rd all time with 84 wins. He won the Daytona 500 in 1978, 1982,and 1988. He was also the 193 Cup Champion. Allisons wreck a Talledaga Motor Speedway in 1987 was instrumental in what we now know as restrictor plate racing. Allison was also a car owner for a short period.

Cale won 83 races in his career, including the Daytona 500 four times. He is one of two drivers to win Cup Championships in three concecutive seasons. Cale was know for his firey personality as well as his agressive driving style. After his driving days he was also the owner os several sucessful cars.
