I may be alone in this camp, but I think it's very impressive that LSU has dismissed quarterback Ryan Perrilloux.

With Matt Flynn being drafted, Ryan Perrilloux; being a top recruit in 2005 and showing his skills on the field in a few key games last year; was set to take over the starting job in 2008.

For a team coming off a national championship, and losing some key pieces of that team to the NFL draft, most schools would find an excuse to allow their next star to stay on the team in order to continue winning.

If LSU can still find a way to compete in the tough SEC, Les will prove to be much much more!

  1. I like the play in the headline. It'll be a testament to his coaching prowess if he can put out a successful program again without Perrilloux.

  2. Here comes the downward spiral towards becoming Larry Coker. Dont worry, its now been set into motion. The Bayou Bengals just have an excuse for this season now.

    1. Read Justin Goar's article, it makes sense.

As Far as the comparison to Larry Coker ... YOU'RE AN IDIOT!

The program at LSU gave a talented, but immature young man every opportunity to make a success out of his LIFE instead of WHORING his talents between the lines to generate BOWL PAYOFFS (ie., Miami ... FSU).

Les Miles was as lenient as a father, kept his TEAM abreast of the situation, and unfortunately for Ryan Perrilloux had to do the right thing!

    2. First, who in the world is Justin Goar, why should I care, and where the hell is the article. Maybe provide a link or something along those lines. You know, make the post useful.

And how am I am idiot? First, its my opinion, so Ill give it all I want. Second, this is just like the Butch Davis-Larry Coker situation. Saban left Miles all the talent in the world to win a NC and he almost blew it and should have blown it since LSU didnt belong in the title game. And dont tell me that LSU didnt whore his talents. Keeping him on through last season and giving him as many chances as he got was as whoring as much as you could. Les was gonna whore him this season and try to get back to the NCG with him this season.

Don't worry, the downfall is coming, this is just the beginning.

    3. Nic,

Upper right hand corner of page ... type in Justin Goar where it says search ... hit the go! button. I apoligize for believing that you would figure out that I was referring to another Blearcher Report article (if it hadn't been, I would have listed the source).

I also didn't bother to look at your picture ... that would have tipped me off to your logic and saved me the time to respond to your slanted logic.

    4. Slanted logic? Right, because those purple and gold glasses your sporting are just as clear as the blue sky.

That article doesnt paint a picture for me whatsoever. The kid was a Thug. Les kept him on the team for so long so he could win more games. The offenses just kept tallying up, so there was no choice but to finally let him go.

  3. its about damn time lsu dismissed him he is a thug

  4. I'm sorry Nic, I couldn't read your comments because of the blinding glare from two crystal trophies in the last 4 years. Maybe I'll try again later.

I thought crimson was bama's color and not envy green.

Nick Saban won a NC at LSU with more Gerry Dinardo recruits than Les Miles won with Saban recruits. That is not my opinion, that is a fact. So maybe Nick Saban is Larry Coker.

    1. Justin, that is laughable. Saban won his title in year 4. You know, when his first class is either Sr. or redshirt Jr. RP was from Les' first class, so we know that he was off to a great start.

Also, you have to be drinking that purple Kool-aid to think that you dont owe everything to Nick Saban right now. LSU was the bottom of the SEC, not just the West, before Saban got to Baton Rouge. He won an SEC title with some of Dinardo's recruits, but the NC was all him.

  5. We owe a lot to Saban but not "everything" like you say. Dinardo had three winning seasons before his last two losing seasons and missed the SEC cg a couple times to tie breakers. So it wasn't like we were Ole Miss or Vandy.

Using "Larry Coker" is a pretty big insult. Coker won his 1st year after Butch.

When Stoopes won in 00 it was his second season, same with Tressel in 02. Meyer won a NC in his second year after Zook. Is anyone crediting their predecessors for their NC?????????????????????????????

No, then why in 3 years after Saban being gone do Bama fans want to contribute all of LSU's success to Saban???

If you credit Meyer's NC to Zook and Tressel's to Cooper and so on then your logic makes sense.

  6. Hey Bama Boy

I agree with Justin. Ron Zook should get all the credit if we follow your logic. Everyone knows it takes more than talent to win. You have to be able to coach. Les has kept the coffers full. We will be fine. Yes Saban is good but so is Les. And don't say we did not belong in title game. We played and BEAT more nationally ranked team than anyone! Yes we lost two but look at the games. No blowouts, overtimes etc. UGA does not have a leg to stand on. They LOST to TN by THREE Touchdowns! They did not even play for the SEC Championship. You bama people need to get a life. The only schools that have that many people at a Spring game are the ones that have forgotten what winning feels like.

So give Les his due. Be a man.
