On a night when he didn't have the best car in the field, Kenseth benefited from Travis Sauter's bad luck. Kenseth passed Sauter on a restart with nine laps to go and held on for a super-late model victory in the Colony Brands 100 at Madison International Speedway, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Kenseth gets in some non-NASCAR racing action from time to time, and this week was a good example. The Roush Fenway Racing star made a return to his hometown track. He won at Madison International Speedway Tuesday night in surprising fashion, taking the checkers away from late leader Sauter. Kenseth also bested his son, Ross, who finished a respectable sixth.
