Damien Cox, the The Toronto Star, has announced in his daily blog that the Leafs have traded Pavel Kubina to Atlanta in a deal that would. according to Cox, free up some $3 million in salary cap for Toronto.

At this time no ther source I can locate has announced this deal.

Cox also states that the salary cap savings will be used to sign unrestricted free agent defense man Mike Komisarek to a five year deal.

Cox's comments can found at: http://thestar.blogs.com/thespin/
