Dallas are now looking into signing 7 foot center Marcin Gortat. The news started coming up Wednesday, but Dallas is going to have some competition for him.

Houston has already offered him a deal today, but the amount has been disclosed. Rockets general manager has even urged Rocket fans to email Gortat to sign with them. New York and Indiana have also shown interest in Gortat.

Gortat, nicknamed "The Polish Hammer" averaged 3 points, 4 rebounds a game. But he did  backup Dwight Howard, and only played 12 minutes a game.

Gortat is a good rebounder, quick and strong for his size, and a competitor. He also has a little mid range shot, but his offensive game is limited and will need to be worked on.

Gortat has shown signs of promise with his 11 points and 15 rebounds in the game six clincher against Philadelphia.

Dallas would have to offer the full Mid Level, but they may be able to persuade him that he may not be a starter for Houston for long if Yao Ming comes back. I think if he signs he will start, and i would rather have Dampier as a back up, instead of starting
