Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev produced a shocking error against Korea Republic on Tuesday to gift them a goal in both teams' opening match of the 2014 World Cup.

Akinfeev had looked shaky throughout, so it was not a complete surprise when he fumbled Lee Keun-Ho's shot in the second half.

Only minutes after Akinfeev's egregious error, his teammate Alexander Kerzhakov bailed him out by tying the game at 1-1. Still, this is one opportunity he'd love to have back.
