We come into this weekend knowing that Manchester United will face Chelsea in the Champions League Final. Not something I particularly want to see. I would have preferred Liverpool, but I can't expect too much I guess.

Manchester United have to win this weekend, simple as that. I believe they will. No matter how much bad luck they have against West Ham, they can't beat Barcelona and then fail to get a result against the Hammers.

Chelsea travel to Newcastle United, who are in brilliant form. One thing I'm struggling to understand is, why have Chelsea got so much time from their Champions League game to this game? They have five days rest, Liverpool have four. How the hell is that fair?

Time to get down to my predictions.

Manchester United 2-0 West Ham: Live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1 - 12:45pm kick-off

They may have lost last week to Chelsea, but United are simply too good at the moment for West Ham. The Hammers are not in good form, one win in their last six games, and that came against Derby County. United have only lost once in their last six, and that was to Chelsea and a dubious penalty decision.

Aston Villa 3-0 Wigan Athletic:

A Bit harsh? Possibly, but Villa are in decent form right now, although the news that Liverpool have made a bid for Gareth Barry could be slightly disruptive. Steve Bruce will be hoping that his side can get a result, but I just cannot see it.

Blackburn Rovers 5-0 Derby County:

I love predicting Derby County games. You just know that they will get battered to hell. Benni McCarthy should celebrate a new contract with a couple of goals. Derby County will be the worst team in Premier League history, and with good reason. They are truly crap. I mean really crap.

Fulham 1-2 Birmingham City:

Great result last week for Fulham, will probably cost Sven Goran Eriksson his job. I expect Alex Mcleish's side to take this win and get a great boost to their relegation campaign.

Middlesbrough 1-3 Portsmouth:

Portsmouth will be preparing for their F.A.Cup final, making sure they have everything ready to go to beat Cardiff. Gareth Southgate's side are not safe, so they'll be gunning for victory. Unfortunately for them, it won't happen

Reading 1-0 Tottenham:

I am aware that this was 6-4 to Tottenham earlier in the season, but Reading's defence will be a lot tighter this time around. As I have said before, Tottenham are focusing on the coming season, so they won't be incredibly fussed about the score. They'll probably go goal crazy now that I've said 1-0.

Bolton 1-0 Sunderland:

Roy Keane can relax. He is now a God to those in Sunderland. Bolton need to win if they will have any chance of remaining in the Premier League. I see Bolton snatching it, but expect a lot of cards for this encounter.

Sunday 4th May:

Arsenal 2-1 Everton: Live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1 - 1:30pm Kick-off

As I said in my previous article, Arsenal have the chance to win the title, but in all honesty, they won't. Expect them to get the victory, but this has mass brawl written all over it. Don't ask why, it's just a feeling I have.

Liverpool 2-0 Manchester City: Live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1 - 4:00pm Kick-off

Liverpool will be desperate to get a result here. They will feel that they could, and should, be in the Champions League Final. Manchester City are in turmoil. Sven will get the sack. Why? I have no idea. Only in this league could he guide them to their best finish in the Premier League, do the double over Manchester United, and get sacked. Crazy. This is the problem we have now. Greedy foreign scumbags buying a football club so they can say to they pals on their multi-million pound boat that they have the best player in the world. Disgusting.

Monday 5th May:

Newcastle United 1-0 Chelsea: Live on Sky Sports 1 & HD1 - 4:00pm Kick-off

A clean sheet against Chelsea I hear you ask? Risky I know, but Newcastle are in too good a form to lose to Chelsea. I wasn't going to say that Newcastle would win, but Michael Owen has changed my mind. So if results go the way I have predicted, United will retain their Premiership crown, and we'll have one hell of a final day.

A few final words. I have immense respect for Frank Lampard for playing on Wednesday and scoring that penalty. It's hard enough to take a penalty, without it being a Champions League Semi-Final, and your mother passed away only a few days before.

Well done Frank.

  1. "United have only lost once in their last six, and that was to Chelsea and a dubious penalty decision".

Sounds like someone cant get over the fact that United were well beaten by the better team on the day......

"Newcastle are in too good a form to lose to Chelsea"? -- Didn't you stop and think, "wait a min, Chelsea are on top form too"?

I predict that Newcastle will be lucky if they get a draw...

  2. A little controversial this week haha....look forward to checking back.

  3. Middlesbrough and Wigan are not actually safe. In fact, should your predictions come true, the bottom 7 will look like this with 1 game left:

    Wigan 37
    Bolton 36
    Boro 36
    Brum 36
    Read' 36
    Fulh' 30
    Derby 11

That would make for an interesting final day of the season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. true. i got mixed up slightly there, thanks for that. i guess thats what rushing does.

  5. portsmouth have nothing to play for in the league and everything to guard against regarding injuries etc etc.
the players will not want to get injured or receive any kind of card red or yellow that could earn them suspensions which could mean they miss out on the final.
boro need 3 poits to avoid a last day threat, however, they never seem to do that. also they tend to play well against the top teams.
i reckon a 0-0 draw unfortunately for boro

i await the weekends results with bith fear and trepidation

    boro fan mark

  6. where can i find history of your predictions?
