Raw seemed to take one step closer to the end of The Shield with Dean Ambrose (in street clothes) feuding with Seth Rollins while Roman Reigns focused on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Reigns won a Battle Royal, and his long-awaited singles push to a world championship finally began. Given the shenanigans that led to Reigns being booked in the Money in the Bank match, it’s likely The Authority will get their revenge by either costing him the title or taking him out of the match.
John Cena was inserted into the Money in the Bank Ladder match by virtue of a victory over Kane in a Stretcher match. Cena has to be considered the favorite—he is the safest choice during a transitional period when WWE’s roster depth is suffering.
Cody Rhodes’ potential as a singles star continues to suffer. Rhodes debuted his new Stardust character, which is basically a duplication of Goldust. Rhodes’ apparent investment in the character may be the only thing saving him from imminent obscurity.
