Blackhawks Pull a Coup!!

The Chicago Blackhawks have pulled a fast one on the rest of the NHL. They signed Marian Hossa to a 12-year deal worth a reported $5m per year. This comes as surprise to everyone in Chicago, as fans were fully expecting the Blackhawks to fight for Martin Havlat, one of the leaders during the 08-09 year. Havlat was asking for more money than the Hawks signed Hossa for, so the Blackhawks made out like two chicks in a Ron Jeremy film (awesomeness). Hossa was viewed as the top free agent of 2009, having scored 40+ goals each of the last two seasons. He couldn't win the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh or Detroit, hopefully he'll win it with Chicago. I feel this signing places the Blackhawks as the best team in the Western Conference.
