Brian Burke wasted little time in acquiring his tough guy in this off season. The Leafs have signed Colton Orr to a four year $4 million contract

Orr certainly brings strong credentials as a tough guy, many place him just a notch below Laracque and Brashear among NHL heavyweights, and at only a $1 million a year cap hit is certainly affordable

Rangers fans will likely be disheartened at this signing as Orr was a fan favourite in Manhattan since his acquisition off waivers from Boston. The question remains as to whether Orr can do more than just "provide space" for Leafs forwards.

At a reasonable price for a young enforcer who brings a solid work ethic I think this is a solid signing, though hardly the splash Burkie has been thought to create.
