Bear Wanders Along Outfield Fence During Baseball Game in Alaska

A wandering bear was quite the spectacle at a baseball game in Juneau, Alaska.

The bear made an appearance behind the outfield fence during the bottom of the fifth inning of the American Legion game. While the pitcher threw some pitches to get loose, the position players gathered together and watched the bear make its way along the fence.

When the pitcher had finished warming up, the right fielder had to return to his position—with the bear somewhere behind him. He probably hoped that a ball wouldn't be hit over his head any time soon.
