Ivory Coast erased a second-half deficit to defeat Japan, 2-1, Saturday in the nightcap of Day 3 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Keisuke Honda put Japan ahead 1-0 with a goal at the 16th minute of the match. That advantage held until midway through the second half when Ivory Coast scored two goals in three minutes time to move ahead 2-1, then holding on for the victory. Wilfried Bony and Gervinho scored for Ivory Coast, respectively.
