Edinson Cavani opened Uruguay's account at the 2014 World Cup with a penalty kick midway through the first half against Costa Rica—but the challenge that brought it was less football and more rugby.

Diego Lugano was brought down by Junior Diaz in clumsy style, and referees won't have many easier calls on spot-kicks at the World Cup.
