The Best Damn Sports Show Period's last show was tonight. If you never watched it before, that's a sad thing, because it was one of the most entertaining sports talk shows I've ever seen.

Best Damn was, at first, often criticized for it's "locker-room humor" being lead by comedian Tom Arnold, Chris Rose, former NBA forward Reggie Theus, former NFL Defensive End Deacon Jones, and former Philadelphia Phillies 1st baseman John Kruk. The show was on at midnight, and wasn't seen as something that would last.

Critics said that it's dulled down humor wasn't for the intelligent sports fans, but it somehow became a hit, to the chagrin of the "others". The atheletes and stars that showed up didn't hurt either. The show was able to interview players without having to grill them about their statistics or their latest game.

Best Damn had their own special segments and shows which helped keep them near the top. With segments like the "Cage" and shows like Top 50 Sports Bloopers, 50 Best Catches, etc., viewers were able to see their favorite athletes best moments, and their hated athletes completely humiliated. And no matter what your opinion is of this topic, nothing is funnier than seeing a high paid athlete get embarrassed.

June 30 was the taping of the last Best Damn Sports Show Period. This was a sad day for me, because I always enjoyed the show. The Best Damn crew will still air shows on their podcasts, apparently. So I guess this isn't an RIP, but a Coma. Still, Whether it was the crazy antics of the show, the top 50's, or their "in-depth" look into the sports world, I will miss the Best Damn Sports Show Period.
