The 2014 World Cup finals are finally here. After four years of waiting since Spain lifted the trophy in South Africa, the next edition of the tournament starts on Thursday night.

Brazil will take on Croatia to open the finals, with the host nation considered to be one of the favourites to lift the trophy on July 13.

Argentina are also rated as potential winners this year, with players such as Lionel Messi among their ranks on South American soil.

Spain will be looking to retain the World Cup and boast a star-studded squad, while Germany are proven tournament stalwarts.

Could there be a surprise winner from Europe, with Italy, France and Belgium rated highly for the finals?

There is only one question in our minds for today: Who will win the 2014 World Cup?
