(6.29.09) NC State LB Nate Irving was hospitalized, while Boston College loses, then gains QB. Georgia Tech and NC State recruiting is picking up but rival UNC is slowly reversing. Wide Receiver prospect trying to up his stock, and VT RB named captain of US football team.

You really have to feel for the Wolfpack. Just when they get that glimmer of hope with the sudden rise of QB Russell Wilson, their key defensive star LB Nate Irving is involved in a car accident and hospitalized with a broken leg and collapsed lung. On the positive side, the Wolfpack picked up another commitment, while their rival UNC saw another peace out.

When Boston College saw the transfer of Dominique Davis, it seemed all was lost for the '09 season. Then came the news that ultra talented 25-year-old Joe Boisture would take the reigns. Well, the roller coaster continued when Boisture decided to switch his commitment to Michigan State. There was some good news though: BC received a commitment from Josh Bordner.

Virginia Tech has to be happy with the talent coming is—freshman RB David Wilson was Captain of the U.S. team playing in the International Federation of American Football Junior World Championship.

Keeping on the recruiting trail, interesting little article about Paul Johnson and his style at Georgia Tech.

And finally, WR Rob Fronk has the right idea on how to up his stock
