ARLINGTON — Brad Snyder has been a journeyman in the minor leagues for most of his career, but has always felt he had the ability to play in the big leagues. He'll get his next chance with the Texas Rangers. The Rangers purchased the contract of the 32-year-old Snyder from Triple A Round Rock on Tuesday, and immediately put him in the lineup as the starting first baseman batting sixth against the Marlins. He's expected to get the majority of starts against right-handers and could see time against left-handers depending on how he's swinging the bat, manager Ron Washington said.
