    We are one day from the start of the World Cup, but the newspapers still have plenty of transfer speculation to keep us thinking on Wednesday.

    Carlos Vela is linked with a return to Arsenal, while Manchester United are chasing Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

Carlos Vela Poised for Arsenal Return

    Arsenal have decided to bring Carlos Vela back to the Emirates Stadium, reports Neil Rowlands of the Daily Mirror.

    According to Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay, the Gunners have agreed to exercise their buy-back option after selling the Mexico star to the Spanish club.

    Aperribay is quoted as saying: "Arsenal have informed us that Vela will be with them next season."

Manchester United Line Up Move for Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona

    Incoming Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has targeted Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez for a move to Old Trafford, claims Jamie Jackson of The Guardian.

    Jackson claims that Van Gaal is a keen admirer of the Chile international and he fits the profile favoured by the Dutchman.

    Meanwhile, Chisanga Malata of the Daily Star claims that United have agreed personal terms with Southampton defender Luke Shaw.

Liverpool Battle to Save Alberto Moreno Deal

    Liverpool are battling to save their move for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno, reports Gary Jones of the Daily Star.

    According to the article, the Spanish club are looking for £18 million for the Spain international.

    However, Jones claims that the Reds will look into further options for the deal before progressing to other targets.

Atletico Madrid Line Up Move for Arsenal Star Santi Cazorla
