Kidd is going to meet with Knicks president Donnie Walsh and coach Mike D'Antoni Wednesday to discuss a deal. Kidd has expressed interest in the past about how he loves New York, and the staff knows the 36 year old point guard would be a perfect fit for Mike D' Antoni's system. Mark Cuban is expected to be at New York at midnight tonight to discuss a deal to resign Kidd

Knicks can only offer the Mid Level which is about 5.6 million, and most likely it will only be for one year. Kidd will most likely want more and a multi year deal, but New York is just trying to hope Kidd goes there for less money, because he's their favorite team. Dallas though can offer him more money, and a multi year deal. The biggest thing though is that New York is rebuilding, and Dallas is looking to add pieces now for a championship run. Kidd has said he wants to win a title, but New York isn't intending to do so anytime soon.

If Kidd decides to leave Dallas he would most likely go to a championship contender this year(Cleveland, Los Angeles, Boston, etc.), than go to a team that maybe in championship contenders for another three years.
