David Wright of the Express writes that the player chose Chelsea over United to seal his £27 million switch back to the Premier League.
Wright quotes Fabregas as saying: "I considered all the other offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice."
United to Move for German Ace

Manchester United want to bring Bastian Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford in a £20 million deal.
Charles Reynolds of The Independent writes that Bayern Munich are prepared to do business and move the German international on.
The midfielder has previously worked with new United boss Louis van Gaal and it is believed the Dutchman wants the experienced player in his new look team.
United have searched for a midfield lynch pin for many years and fans may finally get their wish in signing one of Europe's premier central players.
Nicolas Gaitan to Leave Benfica?

Long-term Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan may be about to leave Portuguese Champions Benfica.
Ben Jefferson of the Express writes that Benfica may let Gaitan go due to financial instability, with the player's agent admitting they will consider offers.
Gaitan's agent Jose Iribarren said, per Jefferson:
"We've had many conversations about Gaitan in recent years but at the moment he is a Benfica player and only the club can make a decision on whether to release the player or not. If a potential buyer makes an offer that interests Benfica, we will carefully consider it."
Gaitan has been linked with United many times over the years and this could be their chance to finally grab the player.
Louis Van Gaal Wants Alexis Sanchez

New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal wants Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.
Jamie Jackson of The Guardian writes that the new Red Devils coach is a fan of the player and is considering a £20 million bid for the Chile international.
Sanchez would suit Van Gaal's 4-3-3 system and give the Reds a dynamic edge in the wide attacking areas.
United to Make Luke Shaw Highest Paid Teenager in the World

Southampton may be reluctant to lose anymore of their successful 2013-14 team but Manchester United have offered Luke Shaw a deal he cannot turn down.
Wayne Veysey of Goal.com reports that the Red Devils have agreed a £160,000 a week deal with the full-back worth a staggering £40 million over five years.
The deal will make Shaw the highest paid teenager in world football, per Veysey.
Shaw's capture will be a statement of intent by United as they look to enhance their squad for the long-term.
United Alerted to Potential Availablity of James Rodriguez

Manchester United have been alerted to the potential availability of Colombia star James Rodriguez as the player would be tempted by a move to the Premier League.
Ben Jefferson of the Express writes that the 22-year-old wing sensation is prepared to leave Monaco after one season to play in a more prestigious domestic league, with England his likely destination.
Rodriguez signed for Monaco last summer for £35 million from Porto and hit 10 goals in 38 games, per Jefferson.
The winger would be the perfect addition to United's attacking line-up and give the team the width that Louis van Gaal will use in his preferred 4-3-3 system.
Manchester United Quoted £60M for Paul Pogba

Manchester United have been quoted a price of £60 million by Juventus if they want to bring former player Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
Daniel Taylor of The Guardian writes that United have made repeated enquiries about the player this year in an attempt to push Juve to sell for a big profit.
Taylor says that Pogba was central to former manager David Moyes' plans to reshape United's midfield and that the club are continuing to monitor his situation.
However, it is unclear whether Louis van Gaal wants the player. The Red Devils are also said to have reservations about Pogba's attitude.
United Back in for Toni Kroos

Reports suggest that Louis van Gaal has contacted Toni Kroos about joining Manchester United after the World Cup.
Kroos was on United's radar for many months, but it appeared that the deal for him was dead.
Kroos has suggested that he will remain at Bayern Munich in the next year, per Bild (via Sky Sports), but the Bundesliga champions may be willing to sell him in the next few weeks if they cannot agree a new contract with the player.
