Jose Mourinho is determined to keep Ramires from out of the grip of Real Madrid, per a report from the Mail’s Simon Jones.

Changes are planned in Chelsea’s midfield, with Frank Lampard moving on, but Jones claims Mourinho does not want to lose his all-action Brazilian.

Jones states Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has had his eyes on Ramires for some time and will make a move in the summer.

Ferdinand is a free agent following his exit from Manchester United. He is likely to have plenty of options, given his standing in the game.

The 35-year-old has made it clear he wants to play on, and QPR boss Harry Redknapp seemingly wants that to be at Loftus Road.

According to Kent, Redknapp has tabled a one-year offer worth £80,000 per week.

Carlos Vela is no longer an Arsenal player, but the Gunners still have a say in his future.

Arsenal sold the forward to Real Sociedad last summer, but they retained a buy-back option and 50 per cent of the rights on the Mexican forward.

Simon Jones of the Mail claims Sociedad sent a delegation, led by club president Jokin Aperribay, to London to thrash out a deal to secure the forward’s whole rights and remove the buy-back option.

Simon Mignolet could face competition for his place from Pepe Reina, as the Mail’s Richard Arrowsmith claims the Spanish keeper is on his way back to Liverpool.

Reina had a successful loan spell with Italian side Napoli last term, but Arrowsmith claims the two clubs cannot agree a fee for a permanent deal.

With Napoli unable to find a solution, Reina will head back to Anfield. Arrowsmith suggests it could be a mere pit stop for the keeper, as he claims Liverpool want to sell.

Despite the player leaving United under a cloud, there has been plenty of talk in regard to a potential return to the club.

Hetherington claims United have made an approach, which was met with Juventus slapping a £60m price tag on the France international midfielder.

The trail has gone cold in recent weeks, and now Malata claims the Red Devils have shifted their attentions to Alba.

According to Malata, new United boss Louis van Gaal will attempt to use his “good relationship” with Alba from their days together at Barcelona to secure a deal.
