AC Milan Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of June 9
With AC Milan undergoing yet another overhaul as new coach Filippo Inzaghi looks to take the helm, it's obvious that a flurry of changes will happen that fans didn't expect.
Plenty of movement will ensue as the club looks to get back in Europe after missing out on any competition for the first time in 16 years.
Here are the latest credible rumors surrounding the Rossoneri.
Milan to Make Bid for Juan Iturbe?
The Argentine exploded on the scene this past season in Serie A, making himself a nuisance for defenders on the right wing where he'd often cut the ball onto his left foot.
Berlusconi has apparently given the green light to such a move, but it would most likely require Milan to sell a player in order to support such a lavish bid.
Milan Targeting Casemiro?
The 22-year-old Brazilian hasn't been able to crack the Madrid starting XI, and Milan could make him a focal point of their lineup if this deal were to materialize.
Casemiro is an offensively gifted midfielder who has plenty of technique and vision to orchestrate play.
Menez Due for Medical
The flamboyant attacker will give the Rossoneri a spark and was personally wanted by Filippo Inzaghi, but is known to be inconsistent and needs to feel like his place is secure in the lineup.
Inzaghi Officially New Coach of Milan
According to the BBC and AC Milan, Filippo Inzaghi has now officially replaced Clarence Seedorf as the new head coach of the Rossoneri.
The former legendary striker affectionately known as Pippo has signed a contract until 2016. Unfortunately, Milan will still need to pay off the remaining two years on Seedorf's bill.
Balo to Arsenal?
Expect Super Mario's value to fluctuate drastically based on how he performs in the World Cup this summer, but it seems almost certain Silvio Berlusconi will be looking for suitors if he can get the right deal for Balotelli.
Bryan Cristante to Be Sacrificed?
According to Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia), Bryan Cristante could be sacrificed in order to keep defender Adil Rami.
The young midfielder shined in the few opportunities given to him by Massimiliano Allegri, and it's no surprise that Portuguese side Benfica have prepared a €5 million bid.
It would be a shame if the 19-year-old is allowed to leave, as he's a real gem for the future and would fit in perfectly with the self-proclaimed youth policy.
