The life of a NASCAR reporter can be perilous at times, especially when trying to do an interview in the inspection area.

Motor Racing Network's Dustin Long was attempting to interview Dale Earnhardt Jr. when he fell off the scale. According to Long and the picture he tweeted, the fall didn't go well, resulting in a broken ankle.

Earnhardt stepped up and tried to take responsibility for the accident, but Long doesn't seem to hold any grudges.
