With players like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat are now the most popular NBA team in the United States.

A recent 12-month poll from ESPN.com using 1,500 Americans that were ages 12 or older determined that the Heat have now surpassed the Los Angeles Lakers as the most popular NBA team.

Among professional sports, the Heat rank No. 6 overall, three spots ahead of the Lakers. The Dallas Cowboys are still America's team apparently, taking the top spot as the country's most popular team.

After the Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, New York Yankees and Denver Broncos round out the top five.
