NHL, NHL Atlantic, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Jaromir Jagr, Henrik Lundqvist, Evgeni Malkin, Game Recap

Jaromir Jagr showed us all why he's captain of the New York Rangers. After trailing in the series 2-0, Jagr put the team on his shoulders and played the best playoff game of his Rangers career. But, no one else on the team showed up and the Rangers fell 5-3. In the post game interview Jagr said, "...It may be my last game, let's make it special." Reffering to the upcoming Game 4 tonight.

But, Jagr put on a show again tonight scoring 2 goals and adding an assist in a 3-0 blanking of the Penguins. No matter what the series outcome is, the Rangers didn't give up, and didn't go down without a fight. As for Jagr, if this is the end of his career, he'll be going out on top as this is the best he's played in perhaps his entire Rangers career.

He wasn't the only star for the Rangers tonight, Henrik Lundqvist was the first star. After keeping the Rangers in the game after the first period, Lundqvist made a series of pivotal saves after the Rangers took a 1-0 lead. After stopping a Ryan Malone on a shorthanded breakaway, Lundqvist was forced to stop Hart trophy nominee Evgeni Malkin on a penalty shot.

The Rangers have gained confidence after this win, and if they can some how pull a win out in Pittsburgh, the momentum swing will be a complete turn around and the series will be their's to lose.
