Bummed out that the Boys in Green again won't be participating in the World Cup, Ireland fans?

It's OK, Balls.ie have a coping mechanism for you.

In a brilliant video created by the site, they've juxtaposed images and video of past Ireland celebrations and heartbreak to a hypothetical World Cup run played out through EA Sports' FIFA video game.

Ireland are ultimately undone by a Mousa Dembele strike in the quarter-finals, but it's still a very fun and dramatic run for the Irish.
