Jul 1968: Rod Laver of Australia is handed the Wimbledon mens singles trophy by Queen Elizabeth II after winning the title at the all England club in London. Mandatory Credit: Allsport UK

It is rumoured that Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II could make an appearance at this years Wimbledon final if Andy Murray succeeds in making the final there

This is a pretty exciting prospect as I believe Roger Federer deserves to get some kind of honours or recognition for his contribution to the sport

If Roger Federer breaks Pete Smpras' record this coming Sunday,I believe he should either be knighted or receive an MBE for his contributions to the history of The all England Lawn Cub
