We all have something in common on this site. We all love sports. Sports bring together black, white, Hispanic, Asian and everyone in between. Sports bring together some of the most talented, gifted, amazing players to ever grace a field, court or sheet of ice.

This article isn't about the David Beckhams or Derek Jeters of the sports world. I am paying tribute to the ugly side of professional sports...the side shielded from media scrutiny...haha!

7. Sheldon Williams: Atlanta Hawks

LOS ANGELES - DECEMBER 8: Sheldon Williams #33 of the Atlanta Hawks walks upcourt during the game against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 8, 2006 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agrees that,

I think his forehead has fear of his eyes. If Beatle Juice played in the NBA, he'd be scared of Sheldon Williams. Great talent...ugly as sin.

6. Alex Ovechkin: Washington Capitals

Alexander Ovechkin looks like Evgeni Malkin's slightly uglier brother. Although Malkin didn't make this list, unfortunately Alex did. You may have female hockey fans everywhere holding their hearts, but you are one ugly Russian.

5. Hedo Turkoglu: Orlando Magic

ORLANDO, FL - JUNE 14: Hedo Turkoglu #15 of the Orlando Magic warms up before Game Five of the 2009 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers on June 14, 2009 at Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agrees that

Slightly cockeyed peepers allow Hedo to see the floor more effectively. His reseeding hairline and four foot face make a striking resemblance to the statues of Easter Island.

4. Tyrone Hill: Retired

15 Feb 2000: Tyrone Hill #40 of the Philadelphia 76ers reacts to a call during the game against the Charlotte Hornets at the First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Hornets defeated the 76ers 95-93.

I wouldn't be a true Philadelphian without mentioning Tyrone Hill in this mix. A mix of Marvin The Martian and the Crypt Keeper, it was his job to make the stomachs of our opponents uneasy by halftime.

3. J.D. Runnels: Cincinnati Bengals

LAKE FOREST, IL - JUNE 2: Fullback J.D. Runnels #48 of the Chicago Bears stretches during a mini-camp practice on June 2, 2006 at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images)

He looks a lot like the late Heath Ledger in his role as "The Joker." I don't know if he has a condition, so if he does I apologize, but he had to be included.

2. Sam Cassell

BOSTON - MAY 8: Sam Cassell #28 of the Boston Celtics reacts during the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semifinals during the 2008 NBA Playoffs on May 8, 2008 at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Wow. If the Lord of the Rings ever loses budget and can't produce digital characters, Sam Cassell would fit perfect as Gollum. There aren't many people that make me say, "DAMN," but he is one of them.

1. Don Mossi: Oakland Athletics

I had to find a baseball player, but today's baseball players are really not that ugly...maybe it's all the sun they get. Anyway, Don Mossi has the most disproportional face I have ever come across. He is the hands down winner.

Wrap Up and Honorable Mention

BOSTON - MAY 02: Joakim Noah #13 of the Chicago Bulls reacts as the Boston Celtics fans yell at him in Game Seven of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at TD Banknorth Garden on May 2, 2009 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Cel

I have come to the conclusion that basketball players tend to be the ugliest professional sports figures. Maybe football gets less of a bad wrap because they wear helmets, but basketball wins hands down.

Honorable Mention: Joakim Noah, Wayne Rooney, Evgeni Malkin, Randy Johnson.

Now it's your turn. Leave me a comment and in it make a case for a guy that should fill one of the final three spots in what will then be my top 10. I will consider any and all.
