Conferderations Cup Final: The End

I was impatiently waiting for this final. I am neither American nor Brazilian but I am crazy about football since my childhood. I love the fair game, I respect the great players. I enjoyed very much the Confederations Cup, minute by minute.

All of a sudden, I felt that I am a fan of the U.S team. Why? When? I don't know…may be because they showed a new style. I really liked every match played by the US Team even when they lost against Italy, I was very sad that they played the rest of that match with ten players.

Anyway, let’s come back to the final. From the very beginning, the Americans used and benefited very well from time and space, a very coherent play, and great defense. I celebrated the two goals and and couldn't believe it, because I knew that the game was not over.

The second goal scored by Donovan, was really a wonderful one. I really jumped from my bed with joy and excitement. DONOVAN, scored one of the most beautiful goals. I'd like to stop here and say: great control of ball and a wonderful execution to score.

Frankly speaking, it’s an athletic goal that shows great sportive spirit. In this counter-attack, Donovan ran almost 67 m, a great sprinter he reminded me of Carl Lewis.

I wish I could see him with given golden sneakers as a merit for that goal. One of the heroes of this team too was Howard—a giant goolkeeper—who showed bravery and big balls, he really deserved to be the best goalkeeper of the Confederation Cup.

The US team deserves all credit and respect. They made mistakes in the second half, but from mistakes we always learn and grow.

Finally, the end of the game was a normal Brazilian victory, yes, Brazil this machine of winners throughout the history of football. I am not going to say much about Brazil, all I know is that the Argentina team is waiting for them here next September.

I hope that the "Samba Machine" will break down.
