Chicago Fire Fans Chant 'US Reject' at Landon Donovan

This may fall into the category of "too soon."

Just more than a week after Landon Donovan was left off the United States' 2014 World Cup roster, the Los Angeles Galaxy star was the target of heckling by Chicago Fire fans. Chants of "U.S. reject" were sent Donovan's way by the Chicago crowd over the weekend.

Considering Donovan is arguably the greatest player in the history of Team USA, that's a bit of a low blow.

Donovan responded as only a star could. He scored the equalizer in the 74th minute to help the Galaxy leave town with a tie.
