Rangers Throw First Twitter Jab at Kings Before 2014 Stanley Cup Final Matchup

The Los Angeles Kings have arguably the best Twitter account in all of sports, but the New York Rangers recently gave them a taste of their own medicine.

On Sunday, Los Angeles defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 7 of the Western Conference Final to set up a showdown with the Rangers in the 2014 Stanley Cup Final.

The Kings' overtime victory had them feeling excited enough to send out the tweet above. The Rangers quickly came back with a witty response:

Well played.

That wasn't the only exchange the teams had on Twitter.

The Rangers last played on Thursday, so they had plenty of time to soak in the moment. The time off helped New York be ready to give the Kings some advice when necessary:

The 2014 Stanley Cup Final begins on June 4. This should be a fun series, both on the ice and on Twitter.
