Gael Monfils Attempts Superman Dive to Return Ball at 2014 French Open

Gael Monfils is a crowd-pleaser, and his home fans at the French Open were left open-jawed when he made an outrageous dive to try to reach a ball during his second-round match against Jan-Lennard Struff.

The No. 23 seed was out of position, but he didn't give up on the shot. Unfortunately, he could only meet the ball with the frame of his racquet.

It didn't stop him for long, however—Monfils swatted aside Struff in straight sets to book his place in the next round.
