The New York Rangers added size and strength to their offense today, acquiring center Brian Boyle, 24, from the Los Angeles Kings in a draft day deal.

Boyle, who stands a towering 6'7'' and weighs 250 lbs., accumulated five points in 28 games with the Kings last season. It was his first significant NHL action after being selected 26th overall in the 2003 Entry Draft.

In exchange for Boyle, who is a restricted free agent on July 1, the Los Angeles Kings will receive the Rangers' third round pick in the 2010 NHL draft.
