Orlando Pirates scooped silverware in South Africa when they beat Bidvest Wits in the final of the Nedbank Cup—but had to issue an apology for their naked celebration.

Some of the players, including midfielder Thandani Ntshumaye, took the trophy into the showers after the game and took a picture. It emerged on Instagram, and although the original was deleted, the damage was done.

Some felt that the photo was an act of disrespect:

It must be taken away "@Prince_ma7: But @orlando_pirates players are dis-respecting the #NedbankCup mcm pic.twitter.com/7PUbsSj2FG"

Ntshumaye himself apologised on Twitter:

I would like to apologize to everyone the club the sponsors and all the people for posting that picture on instagram...

Fortunately, no such image has emerged from Real Madrid's Champions League celebrations (yet).
