MLB Power Rankings: Where All 30 Teams Stand on Memorial Day

The curse of these rankings continues, as the Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics occupied the top two spots last week but proceeded to go a combined 3-10.

As a result, we again have a new No. 1 team, though it is one that has been there more than once already this season. The big story is the streaking Toronto Blue Jays, as they make their first appearance inside the top 10.

When putting together these rankings on a weekly basis, the following factors are considered:

  • Previous week's record
  • Quality of opponents
  • Key injuries/trades
  • Recent performance beyond the last week

Here on Memorial Day, we are closing in on the one-third mark of the season, but there is still a ton of baseball to be played between now and the July 31 non-waiver deadline as teams continue to look to try to identify themselves as buyers or sellers moving forward.

All that said, here is an updated look at where all 30 MLB teams currently stand. Be sure to check back here every Monday morning for the most recent edition of our MLB power rankings.
