Kyle Larson Wins the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway!
The History 300 started out like a lot of Nationwide races have this season:
With Kyle Busch in the lead.
Busch wasn't the only Sprint Cup driver to dominate today, Brad Keselowski, Matt Kenseth, and Kevin Harvick were all running up front as well.
Even Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson showed how much experience he's picked up this year competing in the Sprint Cup Series as he lead a good part of the History 300 as the race started coming to an end.
Chase Elliott entered Charlotte as the points leader and was having an impressive run early on.
Elliott ran into back luck though as he had a tire go down and hit the wall. He took a lot of damage and had to bring the 9 car into the garage for repairs, ending his lead in the standings.
The Nationwide standings are still close. Look for the 9 team to try and bounce back at next week's race at Dover.
As the race came to a close though, Kyle Larson grabbed the lead and didn't look back.
Larson quickly showed why he belongs in the Sprint Cup Series, and if today's Nationwide race was a small preview for the Coca-Cola 600, expect Larson to run well again when the Sprint Cup Series races at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Winner of the History 300: Kyle Larson
