United tried and failed to sign Fabregas last summer but will go in again—with Cross claiming the Red Devils are ready to offer Barcelona £40 million.
David Luiz Passes PSG Medical
David Luiz has taken another step closer to joining Paris Saint-Germain from Chelsea, as Neil Ashton of the Mail has revealed the Brazilian has passed his medical and agreed personal terms.
It has been a whirlwind couple of days for all concerned, as Chelsea revealed on Friday that a deal had been agreed with PSG.
The Blues stated it was up to Luiz to agree personal terms and pass his medical. That has been done, as Ashton has stated in a piece tagged as exclusive that the defender has come through a medical and thrashed out terms.
PSG Set Sights on Hazard
Ashton is all over PSG and Chelsea, as he claims Eden Hazard could follow Luiz to the French capital.
The Mail scribe has picked up on quotes from PSG coach Laurent Blanc which are full of praise to say the least.
Per Ashton, Blanc said:
Why do I love Eden Hazard? Because he is a player who eliminates.
We can discuss all of the systems, or a player’s individual or collective qualities.
But a player who can eliminate three, four players at any time in a game is something else
Ashton suggests PSG’s vast wealth could see them turn Hazard’s head with a huge offer this summer.
United Enter Race for Konoplyanka
Manchester United are ready to head off Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool for Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, per a report from the Mail’s Simon Jones.
Louis van Gaal will set about rebuilding Manchester United this summer, and Jones suggests Konoplyanka is on the Dutchman’s list of targets.
Konoplyanka came close to joining Liverpool in January only for the deal to fall through late in the transfer window.
Jones claims a host of clubs and interested and that “United were approached about the 24-year-old last year but did not believe he was consistent enough and they will take further reports before making a decision whether to bid in the coming weeks.”
Monaco in the Frame for Adebayor
Tottenham and Monaco are two clubs currently without managers, but that has not stopped transfer talk involving them.
According to the Mail’s Sami Mokbel, Monaco have identified Spurs forward Emmanuel Adebayor as a summer target.
Mokbel claims Spurs will not countenance a sale until a new manager is in place, but one of the first tasks upon taking charge could be a decision on the future of Adebayor.
Arsenal Keep Tabs on Uchida
Arsenal are planning for life without Bacary Sagna, with the Mail’s Sami Mokbel claiming Schalke full-back Atsuto Uchida is a target for the Gunners.
Sagna is heading to Manchester City on a free transfer, with a deal reported to be imminent, and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking at replacement options.
Mokbel claims Arsenal had Uchida watched on numerous occasions, while the likes of Southampton’s Callum Chambers and Micah Richards of Manchester City are also in the frame.
Liverpool Step Up Chase for Can
Liverpool are looking to push through a deal to sign Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen, according to the Mirror’s David Maddock.
According to Maddock, Bayern Munich have a buy-back clause to sign Can, but that cannot be activated until 2015.
Maddock suggests Liverpool are well aware of that clause and want to thrash out a deal this summer.
Race Hotting Up for Azmoun
Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are in the frame to sign Sardar Azmoun, according to the Mirror’s Paul Gorst.
The teenager is on the books of Russian side Rubin Kazan and has been making such an impression he has been handed a nickname of "the Iranian Messi."
Azmoun had been quoted as saying Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus are interested in him, but Gorst suggests Liverpool and Tottenham are also in the frame.

West Ham are looking to push through a season-long loan deal for AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang, according to the Mail's Simon Jones.
Manchester United have turned down the chance to sign Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij, according to the Mirror's Ed Malyon.
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is a transfer target for Serie A side Roma, per a report from the Mirror's Paul Gorst.
Chelsea and Arsenal are interested in Hamburg midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, according to the Express' Anthony Chapman.
