Jurgen Klinsmann's USA World Cup squad announcement has been dominated by the news that Landon Donovan didn't make the cut, but another man to miss out was Brad Evans.

Evans, however, took the blow like a champ—and offered a great tweet about it:

You got off easy this time @Cristiano

On the scale of Twitter reactions to missing a major tournament, you have this at the top end, while Samir Nasri's girlfriend's reaction is right at the other.

Had Evans, who plays for the Seattle Sounders, made the squad, he would have had a shot of facing Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal on June 22 in Manaus, Brazil.

Ghana and Germany are the two other teams who make up Group G.
