With the 32nd pick in the draft, the Washington Wizards selected the University of Central Florida's Jermaine Taylor.

Minutes after Taylor was drafted, the Wizards dealt the draft rights to Jermaine Taylor to the Houston Rockets for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Taylor, who was the Conference USA player of the year last season, is only the second player from UCF to ever be drafted.

A UCF player has never played in the NBA before.

Taylor just might be the first.

At 6'5", 207 pounds, Taylor may prove to be quite the capable scorer at the pro level. During his senior year, Taylor averaged 26 points per game on 48 percent shooting, connecting on 37 percent of his three point attempts.

As a fellow UCF Knight, Congratulations Jermaine, and thanks for representing our university.
