Dear Ricky,

Welcome to Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes. I urge you to please rethink coming here. We already have the players you will need to be successful such as Al Jefferson, one of the best young big men in the world.

Right now he probably has the best post moves of any player in the NBA. We also have another young player in Kevin Love, who you would fit perfectly with because he moves well without the ball. You should also love the possibility of him grabbing a rebound, and giving the best outlet pass you have ever seen, to start a fast break with you in the middle, the very smart Ryan Gomes, and the super athletic Rodney Carney, on the wings.

Plus, Minnesota has some of the nicest people you will ever meet, along with some of the most beautiful natural landscapes you will ever see. Now obviously Minnesota is cold and it is also not a huge market, but our superstars get as much attention as a superstar from New York

In this great state, we love our athletes. Just look at the great Kevin Garnett, who after winning a title with Boston, thanked all of his fans in 'Sota for all of the years we stood by him as his loyal troops. Just look at how much love we give to Joe Mauer and Adrien Peterson, who are both considered to be the best players at their respective positions.

All I am trying to tell you Ricky is to give us a chance and you will come to love us. We will slowly creep into your heart, and like many before you, you will end up admiring this great state.

                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                   Your fans in Minnesota
