Ok. I am an SC guy. I think that point has been made, however it’s time to bring out the Coors Light Cold Hard Facts.

During the BCS Era, the University of Southern California has been crowned Pacific Ten Champions seven times. No other AQ BCS team has equvialent conference championships.

If all of the AQ conferences are equal, then the team with the most conference championships has been the BCS’ best team. However, this USC program and the Pac-10 have been denied BCS National Championships.

Competition in BCS National Championship Game

The Southeastern Conference has competed in three BCS National Championship Games; the Big Ten has competed in two; the Big Twelve has competed in one; and the Pac-10 has competed in zero.

The Pac 10 is 3-0 with a 20 point win margin vs. Big 10 teams since 2006 in BCS bowl games (when the BCS National Championship Game was instituted), while the SEC is 2-0 with a 19.5 point winning margin vs. the Big Ten in BCS bowl games.

However, the SEC BCS bowl wins vs. the Big Ten have resulted in two SEC BCS national championships while the Pac-10 BCS bowl wins vs. the Big Ten have resulted in three Rose Bowl victories. This outcome has a major affect on revenue and recruiting for the universities. (Not really, but Heritage Hall would appreciate it if they were being presented with the trophies that it's team deserves.)

Since the BCS was created, the Pac-10 has posted 10 wins and a (.625) winning percentage vs. the SEC in the regular season. The SEC is 12-5 with a (.705) winning percentage in BCS Bowl games, and the Pac 10 is 9-4 with a (.642) winning percentage.

The SEC has a higher chance of being selected for the BCS bowl games because their conference is larger, however, 70 percent of the Pac-10 compared to 50 percent of the SEC have played in at least one BCS bowl game, therefore, the Pac-10 has had more teams compete in the BCS bowl games than the SEC.

The Big East has had 87 percent of their conference compete in BCS bowl games, the Big Ten has had 70 percent of their conference compete in BCS bowl games, and the Big-12 has had 58 percent of their conference compete in BCS bowl games.

The Pac 10 and Big East champion has won seven out of eleven of their BCS bowl games.

The SEC leads all conferences with their champion winning eight out of eleven BCS bowl games; however, USC has been the Pac-10 champion for seven years and have posted six wins, with the only loss coming in the National Championship. The closest team to reaching this mark is the Miami Hurricanes when they represented the Big East four times and won three games.

According to the MWC, over the last five post-seasons, the Pac-10 has the highest winning percentage against AQ conference teams (.750),
